The fourth international saxophone festival Belgrade SAXperience will be held from October 4th to 7th in Belgrade. Saxophone fans will be able to enjoy classical, jazz, tango and modern sounds of saxophone and DJs, in concert halls throughout Belgrade, as well as in the open space.
The second evening of the Festival called LADIES NIGHT is dedicated to women. Talented saxophonist Nele Tiebout from Belgium will perform with the String Orchestra led by our prominent violinist Tijana Milošević. The concert will be conducted by Bart Van Beneden from Belgium, the country where the saxophone was made. In the second part of the concert, the only female quartet of saxophone from this part of Europe, LadieSaxophone Quartet and music band Quatro por Tango will perform compositions by one of the most prominent composers of this genre, Astor Piazzolla.
Nele Tiebout (Belgium) completed master studies at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels. At the same time she studied at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Versailles in the class of Vincent David. She is currently studying at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels in the class of Simon Dirik and Alain Krepin.
She won the awards at local (National competition of Adolphe Sax, Dinan, Dexia Classics, Brussels) and international competitions (4th International Competition of the ensemble and soloists, Kerkrade, 2nd International Golden Saxophone Festival, Odessa, International competition Adolphe Sax, L’Ai- le-Roz, International Saxophone Competition in Nova Gorica). She was the laureate of Prix Horlait Dapsens 2014, a prestigious scholarship awarded to a young talented artist.
As a soloist, she performed with orchestras The Royal Band of the Belgian Guides, Philharmonic of Slovenia and Odessa, Ensemble Entente Cordiale and Panta Rei Strings. She has also performed as a member of the Philharmonic of Brussels and Antwerp, and is a permanent member of the Beveren Symphony Orchestra and chamber ensembles (piano- saxophone duo), the Brussels quartet of the saxophone Scarbo.
Bart Van Beneden completed the Royal Conservatory in Brussels and began to teach and conduct at the same time as well as to engage in transcription and arranging works for different ensembles. He is a member of the Anemos Saxophone Quartet, which won two state awards and an award at the international competition in Luxembourg. They released two albums – Through Time (2013) and Klapzoen (2017). Beneden recently founded the quartet of the saxophone Scarbo with colleagues (Nele Tiebout, Peter Pellens and Asagi Ito).
They perform contemporary music in combination with the other art forms. This year, they performed project Pagine with renowned dancer Yuika Hashimoto (dancing company Rosas). His love to conducting origins from local community in Flandria, where the tradition of strings ensembles has been cherished.
This season, among others, he will conduct works of Wagner, Copland, Glazunov, Ibert and Martin, as well as a new opera performed by young artists and professionals. He will also conduct the Eastern Flanders Symphony Orchestra to perform Mahler Fourth Symphony.
String Orchestra consists of best Belgrade orchestra performers. It was formed specially for concerts at the Belgrade SAXperience Festival. The ensemble is led by Tijana Milošević, concertmaster of the Belgrade Philharmonic.
LadieSaxophone Quartet (LSQ) is an ensemble with a multicultural identity, whose members are proud of their various tradition, experience, cultural heritage and values. They were linked in love with the classical saxophone and the creation of chamber music, as well as the wish to present the broad audience the best of the saxophone repertoire. Through various projects, they search for different music genres and forms of expression.

Quartet presented LadieS Night project that was created in cooperation withQuatro Por TangoFernando Muslera, Argentinean composer as well as VillageLadieS with singer Zvezdana Novaković and composers from Croatia, Poland and Slovenia. The quartet had performances at festivals in Croatia, Poland, France and Slovenia. The temperamental and charismatic members of this ensemble slowly conquer the hearts of the wide audience.
Quatro por Tango is a group of music enthusiasts that connects love with the new tango, created by Astor Piazzolla. In his work, Piazzola enriched the tango with elements of classical music and jazz and, with his sincere and firm attitude, placed his music on the world music scene. Quatro por Tango follows this sincerity and wants to demonstrate the unique atmosphere of the new tango. They are recognizable by the very rare instrument they have in the ensemble – bandoneon, necessary for the sound of a real Argentine tango. They performed at several festivals, including Trnfest, Festiko, Tango Festival, Veris Festival, Cultural Adacemic Society France Prešern and many others. They also had the opportunity to present their affection for this unique musical genre at numerous concerts abroad.
