LibertyCon in Serbia.

 

European Students For Liberty are organizing their biggest annual conference for the first time in Serbia. This international conference has been organized so far in Leuven (Belgium), Berlin (Germany) and Prague (Czech Republic).

 

After great successes of the Regional Conferences in Belgrade, that are among  the biggest in Europe, Serbian students and students from the region will get a chance to attend a three-day conference that gathered over 900 people from 50 different countries last year in Prague.

 

The conference theme is “Freedom of Expression” and will cover topics from political theory, practical political and economical questions, cryptocurrencies, privacy, security, and startups.

This is a great chance to meet students from all around Europe but also to get some of our free books and publications.

 

The conference will be held on April 13-15 at Kolarac. Ticket price is 1000 RSD and you can buy it online or in the Kolarac ticket shop.

Who are the speakers?

 

David Friedman – an academic economist with a doctorate in physics. His most popular book is called “The Machinery of Freedom”

 

Deirdre McCloskey – Deirdre McCloskey from 2000 to 2015 taught economics, history, English, and communication at the University of Illinois at Chicago, being a “distinguished” professor in economics and history

 

Jamie Bartlett – Jamie Bartlett is a writer and, journalist, and the Director of the Centre for the Analysis of Social Media at the think tank Demos. His book “The Dark Net” was translated into Serbian

 

Leyla Husseyin – a psychotherapist specialising in supporting survivors of sexual abuse. She is a leading award-winning international campaigner against female genital mutilation (FGM)

 

Patrik Schumacher – is principal of Zaha Hadid Architects

 

Alexander McCobin – former CEO of Students For Liberty and current CEO of Conscious Capitalism, Inc.

 

Mark Emery – Marc Emery is a Canadian cannabis rights activist, entrepreneur, and politician

 

Brian O’Shea – is the CEO and Senior Investigator at Striker Pierce.  Brian’s specialties include M&A/Exit Strategies and Information Protection for Investment Clients located in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, and the Middle East.
