BETWEEN US – Milica Simonović
Milica Simonović’s exhibition entitled “Between Us” is in a way a continuation of her research that began in “Parallels” last year. This is the second exhibition in a row related to the beginning of her doctoral art research on the topic “Peaks and Mountains”. Although the focus has shifted exclusively to the landscape, the mountain, the presence of the artist is felt in every work.
The landscape in Milica Simonović’s new works is both magnificent and frightening. As much as it attracts us with its whiteness, purity, reduced form and minimalism, so much does the sound of ice cracking under our feet, the creaking of frozen snow and the blinding shimmering light drive fear into our bones and leave us breathless.
